Football Parlay

by Staff Writer
Football parlays are bets that are called combinations in some sports books. Usually, you bet on two or more teams with specific outcomes in mind. The important thing to remember about parlays is that all the bets have to win. With some rare exceptions, you can’t just win one of the bets to collect your money.

Again, once you’ve mastered the bookmaking basics, you can move on up to the parlay betting. A Football Parlay can get pretty strange. During larger games, parlays can be put down on things such as number of interceptions, number of blocked punts and total points at the half.

The more parlay bets you make on one wager, the higher your payout can be. Of course, the more parlays you lay, the more money you bet. Your propositions are the actual bets within the parlay. You can select three, five or twelve propositions on your parlay wager and put down money on each. You can make a lot of money on a football parlay but you can also lose some.

Fantasy Comes Home
Betting NFL games always gets more interesting when including a parlay bet. You get more into the game and you find yourself rooting for some strange things. This is really where I’ve found my fantasy research comes in handy. If a team is playing a great defense, I’ll easily put down money on parlays that favor the defense.
